Using the Record command

  1. Choose the Record command from the Edit Selection Formula menu on the Report menu. The Record Selection Formula Editor appears, displaying the current record selection formula.
  2. You can use the full range of operator, functions, and data field to edit the formula. This formula restricts the range of data that will print. For example, if you want to extract only those records where the item number begins with AA, you can use the Subscript operator in the selection formula:

    {file.Item number} [1 to 2] = "AA"

  3. Edit your formula.
  4. Click Accept when finished. The program limits the report to the records specified.
