Defining the structure of the Cross-Tab

Add fields from the Available Fields area to the Rows, Columns, and Summarized Field areas.

  1. From the Customer table, click Region, then click Add Row.

    Tip:    You can also add fields to the different Cross-Tab sections by clicking the field and then dragging and dropping it into either the Columns, Rows, or Summarized Field area.

    The Region field is added to the Rows area.

  2. From the Product table, click Product Class, then click Add Column.

    The Product Class field is added to the Columns area.

  3. From the Orders table, click Order Amount, then click Add Summarized Field.

    The Orders Amount is added to the Summarized Field area.

  4. Apply additional structure by:
  5. Click Next.

    The Style tab appears.
