Less Than operator

Basic and Crystal syntax.

Usage

x < y

x is less than y

The less than operator tells the Formula Editor to evaluate an expression (x<y) and returns a TRUE (if x is less than y) or FALSE (if x is equal to or greater than y).

Examples

The following examples are applicable to both Basic and Crystal syntax:

{file.WEIGHT} < 200

TRUE, where {file.WEIGHT} = 150, or {file.WEIGHT} = 199.

{file.WEIGHT} < 200

FALSE, where {file.WEIGHT} = 200 or {file.WEIGHT} = 400.

{file.COST} < {file.PRICE}

TRUE, where {file.COST}=350, {file.PRICE} = 400.

{file.COST} < {file.PRICE}

FALSE, where {file.COST} = 350 and {file.PRICE} = 350, or where {file.COST} = 350 and {file.PRICE} = 325.
